01Who we are

Cardiology Academia ("Cardiology Academia", "we", "us") runs this website and decides how the information collected through it is used. Under the law, we are the Data Fiduciary.

For anything about this policy or your information, contact name of the person who handles privacy requests at info@cardiologyacademia.com. Our address is postal address.

02What we collect and why

We collect only what you type into a form, and use it only for the purpose of that form.

  • Before a recorded lecture plays: your name, mobile number, email, speciality and city, whether you are a healthcare professional, and whether we may contact you. We also record which video you opened and when. We use this to keep lectures for healthcare professionals and to learn which topics are most useful.
  • Meeting registration: the same details, plus your institution and whether you will attend in person or online. We use them to manage the meeting and send you joining details and reminders.
  • Request a session, Become a speaker, Membership and Contact forms: the details you enter, such as your qualification, institution, topic, preferred dates, a short bio, your medical registration number (membership only) or your message. We use them to reply to and act on your request.
  • Email updates: your name and email, to send you new academic updates.

We do not take payments or collect card or bank details on this website.

We collect your details only when you fill in a form and press send. The checkbox "Cardiology Academia may contact me" is optional. If you leave it unticked, we use your details only for the request you made.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by emailing info@cardiologyacademia.com or using our contact form. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before you withdrew.

04Where your information is kept

Form entries are saved in a private Google Sheet in Cardiology Academia's Google account. Only the team members who need them can open it.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Google and Cloudflare may store data on servers outside India, under their own security and privacy terms.

05On your phone or computer

Some features remember things in your browser, on your own device. This stays with you; we cannot see it.

  • Items you save with the heart button, and your recent searches.
  • Your name, mobile, email, speciality and city after you fill in a form, so you don't have to type them again and videos open straight away.
  • Whether you closed the announcement bar at the top of the site.

We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear all of this with the button on this page, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Website statistics: if we turn on Google Analytics, it counts visits, pages viewed and searches made on this site using cookies. It sees your approximate location and type of device, but not the details you type into forms.

06Videos, maps and other services

Recorded lectures play from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. Until you press play, only the video's picture is loaded from YouTube. Slides and documents open from Google Drive, the map on the Contact page is from Google Maps, and share buttons open WhatsApp. Each of these follows its own privacy policy.

07Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only:

  • with service providers that store or process it for us, such as Google and Cloudflare;
  • when the law requires it, for example a valid order from a court or government authority.

08How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for:

  • Video views and meeting registrations: three years, so we can report on our academic activity.
  • Requests and contact messages: two years after we reply.
  • Membership records: while you are a member, and three years after.
  • Email updates: until you unsubscribe.

We may keep some records longer where the law requires it. After that, we delete them.

09How we protect it

The responses Sheet is private and shared only with named team members, whose Google accounts are protected by two-step verification. The website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection.

If a breach affects your information, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can:
